DEDON's story is one out of a thousand. With an ex-professional Belgian goalkeeper from Bayern Munich at the heart of the story, they started as many as 30 years ago in Germany with a small production workshop and a big idea.
They saw that the colonial furniture of the time, mostly made of Rattan wood, quickly weakened in our wet European climate and sought an alternative, something equally beautiful and cosy, but much stronger.
Thus began the idea of DEDON's Eco-fibre & PE fibres. This material is 100% outdoor-proof and developed using UV-resistant components for long-term sun exposure. The rest is done.
Currently, we offer DEDON to customers who want durability, winter resistance & to place the furniture 'completely outdoors' all year round. And already proved the benefits of DEDON by reference with friends or at luxury hotels in the Alps, where they regularly supply charm hotels with the right furniture in that climate.
The strong wickers are still made in Germany (Lüneburg) after which the wickers are processed in the workshops in the Philippines and woven around the chosen model.
