About T'Hooft Buitengewoon

Design, quality & sustainability first.

T'Hooft today | Extraordinary in every detail

Today, T'Hooft forms a close-knit team of seven permanent employees, complemented by our own installation team. Together, we combine Craftsmanship, creativity and a personal approach, from initial design to perfect realisation.

Annik and Francis T'Hooft run the company together with their son Michael T'Hooft and guard the vision, quality and continuity of T'Hooft Buitengewoon.

With T'Hooft Studio we enhance our projects with thoughtful design. Our exterior architect Margo translates ideas into clear plans and visualisations.

In and around the showroom Jordy Van Meenen (logistics & sales) and Margo Dewulf (social media & project development) for support and follow-up.

Implementation is carried out by our regular installers Frederik Leys and Luc Van de Keere, with an eye for detail and finish.

Every outdoor space is unique. With photos, plans and targeted advice - in the showroom or on site - we guide customers to the right style and material choices.

Generations of experience

For more than three generations, and in the same location since 1870, we have been building lasting relationships and strong trust. We are proud of that.

Jules T'Hooft, great-grandfather of Francis T'Hooft founded the company in 1870.

Above, an invoice from 1901. And the bombing of his company after the first or second world war. What is striking is that back then all official documents were still in French in Flanders.

He was a grower of laurel trees and also mayor of Landegem. In 1921, his son Maurice T'Hooft succeeded him. He took care of laying out and maintaining gardens in Ghent. Jozef T'Hooft, Francis' father, took over the business in 1950 and also started selling garden supplies.

Francis T'Hooft soon reinvigorated by modernising the range and giving the company the look and feel of an outdoor furniture specialist shop. Here, the emphasis is increasingly on the very extensive range of garden furniture, barbecues and letterboxes.

Our collections are made to outside to live - and within impression.
