The Bea Mombaers collection Serax embodies the Belgian designer's signature universe: sober, timeless, sensuous yet understated luxury. What began as a personal quest for a completely minimalist lounge chair for her iconic bed & breakfast in Knokke, grew into a full-fledged collection of outdoor furniture with an exceptional sense of tranquillity and sophistication.
The strength of the Bea Mombaers collection Serax lies in its seemingly simple design: a floating seat volume, a fully concealed frame and generous outdoor cushions that invite long dinners, relaxation and the merging of indoor and outdoor living.
From prototype to iconic collection
For Bea Mombaers, the idea came about in the same intuitive way as her handbag line: she didn't find what she was looking for anywhere, so she developed it herself. It was to be a "floating" seating unit, made up exclusively of cushions, with a structure that disappeared completely. The first prototype - a low one-seater made of 90 × 90 cm with heavy metal frame and thick, weather-resistant cushions - formed the basis for the current collection.
Today, the collection consists of lightweight, black aluminium frames with soft cushions in a fawn shade: suitable for both indoors and outdoors, and easy to move. By combining different elements, you effortlessly create your own lounge island, exactly tailored to the available space and atmosphere.
Modular Bench Collection - lounge elements without limits
The Bea Mombaers collection Serax is built around a flexible modular system. The 'Bench' modules form the core of the lounge collection and allow you to build and combine intuitively.
Available modules:

- Ottoman / footstool (same size as the one-seater)
Each module is made of black aluminium - light, durable and ideal for outdoor use - and fitted with generous cushions in a soft taupe/fawn colour palette. The minimalist design language and obvious comfort make the collection suitable for both sleek terraces and natural gardens.
